Kathmandu: US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that the United States has conducted airstrikes on three key Iranian nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. He confirmed that American aircraft have completed their missions and are now positioned outside Iranian airspace.

According to Trump, the full payload of bombs was dropped on the Fordow site, which is considered Iran’s primary nuclear enrichment facility. The US president warned Tehran to agree to end the war, signaling a clear message that Washington stands firmly behind Israel in its ongoing conflict with Iran.

Local media reported that this marks a historic escalation in the Middle East, as the United States directly joins Israel’s campaign to dismantle Iran's nuclear infrastructure. The US strikes came on the ninth day since Israel launched “Operation Rising Lion” targeting Iranian nuclear sites on June 13.

The airstrikes have heightened concerns of possible Iranian retaliation, particularly targeting US military bases and assets in the region. Security analysts warn that the situation could spiral into a broader regional war if diplomatic interventions fail to de-escalate tensions.
